AGT는 4월 10일(금)부터 5월 3일(일)까지 오지은의 개인전 《먼지가 흩날리는 시간》을 선보입니다.

오지은의 회화는 특정한 장면을 재현하기보다, 그날의 공기와 감정, 몸에 남아 있는 기억의 잔상을 다시 불러오는 작업입니다. 선명한 색과 자유로운 붓질로 이루어진 화면은 설명보다 먼저 감각으로 다가오며, 보는 이로 하여금 각자의 기억을 떠올리게 합니다.

어머니와의 기억에서 시작된 ‘먼지가 흩날리는 시간’, 무뚝뚝한 아버지의 모습이 묻어나는 ‘아빠의 서재’처럼, 사적인 순간에서 출발한 장면들은 자연스럽게 우리 각자의 감정과 맞닿은 풍경이 됩니다.

이 땅의 길모퉁이에서 잠시 쉬어갈 수 있는 나만의 아지트가 필요하듯, AGT는 그런 마음에서 만들어진 작은 공간입니다. 꼭 무언가를 하러 오지 않아도 괜찮은 곳, 조용히 작품을 보고 가도 좋고, 친구와 이야기를 나누다 가도 좋은 곳입니다.

잘 꾸며진 갤러리라기보다, 잠시 머물다 갈 수 있는 작은 놀이터에 더 가깝습니다. 처음에는 조용히 시작하겠지만, 하나둘 사람들이 모이면 이곳 역시 자연스럽게 각자의 방식으로 머무는 공간이 될 것입니다.

AGT presents Ji-eun Oh’s solo exhibition The Time When Dust Drifts, on view from April 10 (Fri) to May 3 (Sun).

Rather than reproducing specific scenes, Ji-eun Oh’s paintings evoke the air, emotions, and lingering traces of memory from a particular day. Composed of vivid colors and fluid, intuitive brushstrokes, her work reaches the viewer first through sensation rather than explanation, inviting each person to recall their own memories.

Works such as The Time When Dust Drifts, which began with memories of the artist’s mother, and Father’s Study, imbued with the presence of her reserved father, originate from intimate moments. These scenes unfold into landscapes that gently resonate with our own emotions.

Just as we all long for a small hideaway—a place to pause for a moment on a street corner—AGT was created with that spirit in mind. It is a space where you don’t need a particular reason to visit: you can quietly spend time with the works, or simply stop by to talk with a friend.

Rather than a meticulously curated gallery, it is closer to a small playground where one can linger for a while. It may begin quietly, but as people gradually gather, the space will naturally become one where each person stays in their own way.
